Kure Connects With Philippines Department of Trade and Industry to Explore SME Skills and Capacity
April 2025, Makati City, Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC), met with the Kure Team to explore potential collaboration on capacity-building initiatives for Philippine small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This meeting focused on proposed training programs using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to help local exporters improve operational efficiency, competitiveness, and global readiness.
The meeting included export-ready SMEs specializing in high-value, coconut-based products across food, wellness, and personal care industries. The proposed partnership aims to provide these businesses with tools to streamline operations, reduce waste, and meet international quality standards. By adopting Lean Six Sigma practices, SMEs are expected to scale up and strengthen their position in the global market.
