Students: Conduct project orientation at Waipahu High School
Students: Meet with Community Center departments and walk through the site
Students: Complete Steps 1 & 2 of their Quick Win process optimization projects
Step 1: What’s My Opportunity: Clarify what optimizing the process will accomplish
Step 2: What’s My Process: Explore the steps by which the work gets done and find opportunities

Students: Complete Step 3 of their process optimization projects
Step 3: What’s Causing My Problem: Identify one or more specific, actionable items producing the undesired effect
Partners & Students: Participate in a midterm coaching session

Students: Complete Step 4 of their process optimization projects
Step 4: What’s My Solution: Implement specific changes to make the problem go away
Partners: Teach presentation skills at Waipahu High School
Students: Begin project essays and presentations

Launchpad conducts teacher orientation
Launchpad conducts student orientation

Mentors kickoff cohort
Students meet with organization (project sponsor) to tour work site
Students start project work in app aligned with Scientific Method (identify opportunity and current performance)
